Welcome to Walker Community!
Located in the Bradshaw Mountains, south of Prescott, AZ, Walker Community is an old mining district, filled with history. It’s named after Joseph Walker, mountain man, explorer, and guide. He led a party to this valley to discover gold in the summer of 1863.
Today, the valley is filled with rustic cabins and elegant homes. There’s a vibrant community of people here, with an active social calendar. Some live here full-time, while others have second homes here.
Everyone loves it here. The community is great, with pancake breakfasts and other social events.
Fire Wheel
Please do not change the fire danger on the Fire Wheel near Blue Jay on Walker Rd. It is surprising this even needs to be said but someone changed it to an incorrect fire danger. The Fire Department alone will take care of this task. Thank you
Monsoons Are Here
It’s started to rain here in Walker. Everyone is very thankful for that.
Today, it poured. 3 inches in a few hours was dumped on Walker.
Here’s a video of what Lynx Creek looked like today.

Cream Cheese disappeared fast. (For you Continental Types) Next month
we’ll be prepared. We went through 3 flats of strawberries, 2 gallons of milk (and nearly 2 of
