About 7:15pm this evening, I was standing on my deck, as I watched a DC-10 fly along the Mt. Union ridge and drop a load of the red foam. It was an amazing sight. Of course, I got no photos.
The smoke seemed to be reduced significantly after that drop. The plane kept flying east and south, I assume towards Phoenix. No big revelation, but I was encouraged, so I thought I’d share.
Seems almost surreal during these fires to be able to watch our heroes in action. Truly it is an exercise in surrender and preparedness.
