The WFPA will hold its Annual Meeting Sunday, September 6, 2020 from 9:00-11:00 a.m.

There are four (4) Board of Directors seats to be elected. The four incumbent Board Members whose terms are expiring are all running to be reelected. There was an announcement to this affect in the run up for the traditional Annual Meeting held over the Memorial Day Weekend.

There was a call for anyone interested in running for the Board to submit a notice to the Board of Directors. There was none.

We are asking again if there is anyone interested in running for the Board to forward their information the Secretary of the WFPA Board of Directors who is Clyde McKay. His email is secretary@walkerfire.org.

Because of the Corona Virus the following protocol will be followed.

The Board of Directors and a contingent to issue ballots will be at the Fire Station on September 6, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

No other business than the election of the Board of Directors will be conducted.

Safe Social Distancing will be enforced and all state requirements for public places will be in effect.

Any candidate for the Board of Directors can be there to answer questions

There will not be a mass meeting.

We are asking that Members use Proxies to cast their vote.

You can give your Proxy to a Member who will have to come the meeting to get a ballot for each proxy carried or you can mail (or email) your proxy to the WFPA Secretary.

The WFPA Secretary will use those proxies to vote for the slate approved by the BOD which is for the four (4) incumbent Board Members seeking reelection.

A Member can drop by the station any time during the meeting to vote. They will have to obtain a ballot and fill it out at the station. Ballots will not be distributed prior to the meeting.

In order for this meeting to be official we will need 75 Members present either in person or by proxy.
