This is from Dan Dougherty up on Big Bug who just recently saw first hand what is going on:

Folks, I just came down from the mountain an hour ago. We had to recover a dealership loaner vehicle and we received a sheriff posse escort.

First off, all of Walker Rd and Big Bug Mesa Rd are literally crawling with law enforcement and fire units from all over the state.

We checked the Mesa and nothing has changed since yesterday with the exception of heavy activity on northern slope of the Mesa (moving away from us) and almost complete lack of smoke coming from the south towards Goodwin where it all started.

Everyone’s homes are fine and well protected….

On way out we got buzzed by a massive passenger plane converted to tanker flying through Walker valley…which would have been fun if not for the circumstances.
